Peace & Justice Conversations: Paths to Peace with Iran

📍Zoom

Decades of tension between the United States and Iran have recently erupted into full scale illegal war (including economic) initiated by the U.S. and Israel. While we attempt to de-escalate the immediate crisis, people such as Moji Agha have a larger vision for an Iran that allows freedom for its people and has normal relationships with other countries of  the world. It will involve peace activists of multiple nationalities nonviolently forcing their governments onto a new path. There are realistic pathways to peace, and many people who would like to walk them. Brother Moji will tell us about some options he sees as attainable.    Learn More & Sign Up Here.

Read-In to Keep Book Bans Out

Read-In to Keep Book Bans Out

107 N Main St Concord, NH 03301

Sign Up Here

SB 434, a bill that would allow books, art, films and videos, visual media like drawings and photographs, live performances, dances, guest speakers, and other material to be banned in our public schools, is headed to Governor Ayotte’s desk.

The right to free expression includes the freedom to read whatever we choose. But once again, NH lawmakers are attempting to make it easier to ban books and other types of content right here in the Granite State. Just last year, Governor Ayotte vetoed a similar book banning bill and this time should be no different.

Join the ACLU of New Hampshire, MomsRising, 603 Equality, Engage NH, NEA New Hampshire, and AFT New Hampshire for a silent read-in at the New Hampshire State House to make clear that book bans have no place in our state.

Bring your favorite banned book, grab some free treats, find a cozy spot outside the Governor’s Office, and settle in for a community read-in!

Who Are the “Free” Staters

Who Are the “Free” Staters

📍Zoom & In-Person: Unitarian Universalist Church, 58 Lowell Street, Nashua

WHO ARE THE FREE STATERS and who are the billionaires backing their agenda?

In 2003, the Free State Project targeted New Hampshire to "take over state government" and turn it into a libertarian utopia. They have  control of the NH GOP, pushing out normal Republicans. Even the House majority leader is a Free Stater.

Learn how they're forcing up property taxes, defunding schools, and seeking to control towns' options for funding, energy, and safety. Then we discuss what you can do to help stop it. Hosted by UU Nashua and Daring Democracy NH with speaker Jeanne Dietsch, former NH Senator.

It takes a special kind of arrogance to move to someone else’s home state with the goal of remaking it against the will of the people who live there.

Attend in person or TAP HERE TO JOIN VIA ZOOM the day of the event.

Countering Christian Nationalism

Lisa is a seasoned, executive-level nonprofit professional who has successfully led a number of legislative and regulatory wins advancing equity in multiple areas. She believes in the credo “nothing about us without us,” which fuels her passion to teach community organizing skills.
