Upcoming Listening Sessions

As part of an initiative to help NH residents become more invested in candidates seeking elected office throughout the state, SNHI has launched a Community Listening Session series on Zoom with candidates for various upcoming 2026 races.

We recently held our inaugural Community Listening Session with the U.S. Senate candidate Karishma Manzur via Zoom. The event was very well attended, with a lively Q&A, and very positive post-event feedback from participants.

We will continue the series the third Tuesday of each month.

NH Peace Action focuses on questioning and ending our country's violent foreign policy. We have always noted the ways in which this treatment of those outside our country is reflected in violence at home as well.

We are currently seeing an upsurge in the use of militarized force against people within our borders through an increase in the purview, funding, and impunity given to ICE. There is also a strong and inspiring wave of resistance. Come learn more about the work in NH to disrupt ICE activities and how you can help.

📅 Tuesday, January 20 | 7PM📍 Zoom | Register Here

You’re invited !!

As part of an initiative to help NH residents become more invested in candidates seeking elected office throughout the state, Southern NH Indivisible is hosting a series of Community Listening Sessions. Each session will feature a candidate running for office in the upcoming 2026 election, offering them a chance to reach voters in their homes.

We are very excited to announce our 2nd session featuring Jared Sullivan, currently a NH State Representative in the northern part of the state. He is running for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Senator Jeanne Shaheen. A brief introduction from Jared’s website:

“As a current state rep in the North Country, I know what hard work
looks like. I’m juggling multiple jobs to make ends meet, and still
deeply frustrated with how broken our politics have become. So I’m
   taking the fight to Washington.”

His Senate campaign messaging focuses on combating political polarization, challenging the current administration’s influence in national politics, and “disrupting” the status quo while emphasizing anti-corruption.

Please come, bring your questions and be heard!

NH Peace Action Acts! Venezuela
📅 Thursday, January 15 | 7PM
📍 Zoom | Register Here

We’ll take action together to convince our Senators and Representatives to speak out and cosponsor legislation to stop the Trump administration from waging an unauthorized war on Venezuela and other Latin American nations.

Did you know that it only takes six calls in one day coming in to get that issue discussed in the daily staff meeting of a Congressperson or Senator? Did you know that every Letter to the Editor with a politician’s name in it is flagged by their office? While it can feel daunting to advocate for our positions with officials who we often disagree with, we have seen that we can change minds and policy, especially when we coordinate our efforts.

ICE Out of Merrimack

ICE Out of Merrimack📅 Thursday, January 8
🕠 5:30PM Rally
🕖 7PM Town Council Meeting📍 Merrimack Town Hall

Southern NH Indivisible is one of 30+ co-sponsors for this action, organized by the newly formed NO ICE NH coalition.

According to information leaked in the Washington Post on December 24th, the Trump administration plans to open a new ICE-controlled warehouse to detain immigrants in Merrimack. As NH residents, we cannot let this happen.

Join us at the Merrimack Town Council’s next meeting to oppose the opening of this warehouse. We will begin with a rally at 5:30pm, including speeches from local leaders, followed by attendance at the town council meeting.

So far, the town does not have any additional information and has been receptive to our outreach, so please keep that in mind. Our target is ICE/DHS, etc., not the town of Merrimack.

We will also be collecting food and warm clothing for NH Mutual Aid Relief Fund and other local organizations.

Mass Blackout

Mass Blackout
📅 Tuesday, November 25 through Tuesday, December 2 (including Black Friday when last year along over $10B were spent online.)

Our system isn't broken - it's working as designed - To benefit the wealthiest few and exploit the rest of us.

"The Mass Blackout" is a nationwide economic action, coordinated across dozens of aligned organizations and grassroots movements. They’re calling on all of us to declare solidarity and reclaim power with a collective refusal to participate in a system that profits from our pain, exploits our labor, and buys our politicians.

Blackout The System also urges all Americans to indefinitely withdraw economic support from big-box retailers and large corporations - regardless of the date.

We know that not all of the actions listed on the flyer are feasible for all. However, even only no spending during that time would have a HUGE impact if enough of us do it. When you do shop, shop local small businesses and nonprofits.

Avelo Airlines has accepted a $150 million contract to operate deportation flights, aiding in the illegal removal of individuals without their right to a fair hearing or due process.

Avelo is reportedly suspending service at MHT after January 5th, 2026 but we want to make sure they get the message and don’t return next summer. Bring your signs, bring your relatives and friends! Let’s be visible! Avelo is cancelling service and leaving hubs all around the country. We can make it permanent in New Hampshire, too!
