Support Our Neighbors - Ongoing Event

With SNAP benefits going away or being reduced, even temporarily, due to the government shutdown, 76,000 New Hampshire residents are at risk of going hungry. 20,000 are children. We can step up for our neighbors.

If you would like to help, you can donate to the New Hampshire Food Bank in several ways: online, by mail, over the phone, via Venmo, or in person.

Please note: monetary donations can often have a bigger impact than food donations, though anything you are able to do is greatly appreciated.

Mass Blackout

Mass Blackout
📅 Tuesday, November 25 through Tuesday, December 2 (including Black Friday when last year along over $10B were spent online.)

Our system isn't broken - it's working as designed - To benefit the wealthiest few and exploit the rest of us.

"The Mass Blackout" is a nationwide economic action, coordinated across dozens of aligned organizations and grassroots movements. They’re calling on all of us to declare solidarity and reclaim power with a collective refusal to participate in a system that profits from our pain, exploits our labor, and buys our politicians.

Blackout The System also urges all Americans to indefinitely withdraw economic support from big-box retailers and large corporations - regardless of the date.

We know that not all of the actions listed on the flyer are feasible for all. However, even only no spending during that time would have a HUGE impact if enough of us do it. When you do shop, shop local small businesses and nonprofits.

Sunday, November 23, 2-4PM
Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT)

Southern NH Indivisible is organizing a rally outside the terminal building at Manchester, NH airport (MHT) as people enter to board an Avelo flight.

Avelo Airlines has accepted a $150 million contract to operate deportation flights, aiding in the illegal removal of individuals without their right to a fair hearing or due process.

Avelo is reportedly suspending service at MHT after January 5th, 2026 but we want to make sure they get the message and don’t return next summer. Bring your signs, bring your relatives and friends! Let’s be visible! Avelo is cancelling service and leaving hubs all around the country. We can make it permanent in New Hampshire, too!

Peacekeeper 101 Training

Peacekeeper Training 101 - New Hampshire Peace Action (NHPA)

Saturday, September 27th, from 1:30pm-3:45pm at the UU Church of Manchester, 669 Union Street, Manchester, NH.

The Number of participants is limited so reserve your space now! For more information and to register to attend, Click here.

This training session will provide you with valuable de-escalation skills. Being a PeaceKeeper not your thing? These skills are valuable just the same. Especially if you participate in Bridge Brigade.

What are Peacekeepers? You have probably seen peacekeepers at rallies or marches you have attended wearing white vests and acting as marshals.

Peacekeepers are trained to handle logistics, direct traffic during marches, and serve to de-escalate common confrontations that may arise during the course of an action.

The NH Peacekeeper Project maintains a roster of trained volunteer peacekeepers who act as marshals and de-escalators for public events around NH.  NHPA and its partner the American Friends Service Committee New Hampshire offer training in peacekeeping 101 and de-escalation tactics.
