Listening Sessions

Upcoming Listening Sessions

As part of an initiative to help NH residents become more invested in candidates seeking elected office throughout the state, SNHI has launched a Community Listening Session series on Zoom with candidates for various upcoming 2026 races.

We recently held our inaugural Community Listening Session with the U.S. Senate candidate Karishma Manzur via Zoom. The event was very well attended, with a lively Q&A, and very positive post-event feedback from participants.

We will continue the series the third Tuesday of each month.

STOP DISCRIMANTORY BANS!

Location: Outside the Senate Judiciary Committee meeting room — First floor of the NH  State House.

Help STOP legislation that is divisive and discriminatory. Identity politics are being prioritized over solving real issues facing Granite Staters, and our trans community is being unfairly targeted and singled out by a vocal political minority who wants to sow fear in our state. Trans people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, and should be allowed to participate fully in public life. SIGN IN to OPPOSE HB 1217, HB 1219 and HB 1447, which will be heard on Tuesday, April 21 in the Senate Judiciary Committee. Submit written testimony if unable to attend the hearings.

📅 Sunday, April 19 | 7PM
📍3S Artspace, Portsmouth, NH

Beinart will speak about his book, Being Jewish after the Destruction of Gaza: A Reckoning, as well as the Palestine and the Middle East crisis more broadly. Signed copies of Peter's book will be available for purchase, and a Q&A will follow the presentation.

Originally a liberal Zionist who supported Israel, Beinart became increasingly critical of Israeli policy toward Palestinians in the 2010s and eventually began advocating for equal rights in a single democratic state rather than a traditional two-state solution. Through his books, essays, and columns in outlets such as Jewish Currents, The New York Times, and The Atlantic, he has played a major role in shifting the debate among American liberals and American Jews toward greater criticism of Israeli occupation and support for Palestinian rights.

Tickets are $12 and are available HERE.
